I was born in 1969 in Stevenage, England, to a single mother of 4. I was there until at the age of 21 I left the “Fair Isle” for a year of travel around South-East Asia and Australia, where I picked up the “travel bug”, which has never left me since although has eased somewhat, from back packing with no particular destination, to more planned escapades. After this great adventure, life´ journey led me to Munich, Germany, where after 4 years of physical and emotional abuse “inflicted on me” and “by me”, I was close to the edge of my sanity. I was in an abusive, violent relationship and it was not the first and I was desperately unhappy and confused. This was not the way I had imagined my life would be! Then “ironically” my mum gave me a book by a woman I had never heard of; Louise Hay; You Can Heal Your Life! I remember the first time I read it, having a strong feeling of “déjà vu” (the feeling I had read it before). The feeling was so strong; the words literally spoke to my soul. I remember, the first mirror exercise I ever did was a nightmare for me. To even look myself in the eyes was hard enough (almost impossible or so it seemed at the time) but to say: “I Love You Melanie” as well! “No way! I felt really silly! People will laugh!” (Our subconscious mind is very clever and subtle as it tries to get us to hang on to those beliefs and patterns, which keep us going round in the same old circles). As ridiculous as it sounds, it
took me a while before it occurred to me that NOBODY COULD SEE ME!! NOBODDY HAD
TO KNOW!! I didn´t have to run out into the street and tell everyone I met that
I had just looked in a mirror and said “I love you Melanie”!! OH WHAT A
RELIEF!! J Not long after receiving Louise’s book I was drawn to The Sivananda
Yoga Centre in Munich and started practicing Yoga , at home and at the school. I
also did various courses in Ayurvedic cooking, which I loved from the word go.
In September 1997 I was blessed with my daughter Lucy Saskia, who continues to
be my biggest blessing and teacher. In 1999 I spent a month in Reith near
Kitzbuhl on a very intensive Yoga Teaching Certification Course and became a
fully pfleged Sivananda Yoga Teacher which I then continued to teach at the
Centre in Munich. Having satisfied the needs of my Right brain, to a certain extent, with
Yoga J it was time to satisfy my Left logical brain with a
degree in IT and Business Studies which I successfully completed after 3 years
hard work, in 2003. I then went on to become a registered Louise L. Hay, Healing
Lives/Achieving Dreams Workshop Leader, trained & certified by
Patricia Crane Ph.D in Birmingham , England and I currently give weekend
Work-Shops & e-mail Courses based on this philosophy and Louise Hay´s book;
You Can Heal Your Life! After many years of working with Louise Hay’s principals and as a
professional Sivananda Yoga Teacher, www.sivananda.org

with my family in Värmland, Sweden and my highest goal is to continue to help
as many people as possible, both on and off line, nationally and
